Now that he is retired, Hussain al Nowais has more time to pursue his hobbies. He still enjoys cooking and frequently cooks for family and friends. He also is a world traveling soccer fan. His favorite team is FC Barcelona, and his favorite player is forward Pedro Rodriguez. He and his wife have toured Europe to watch their games. Mr. and Mrs. Al Nowais also enjoy watching the FIFA World Cup and attended the most recent tournaments in South Africa and Brazil.

Hussain al Nowais also enjoys powerwalking, scuba diving and following major league baseball. On a trip during college, he and his wife took scuba diving classes and earned their scuba diving certification. They have gone scuba diving during their travels and now enjoy scuba diving off the coast of Miami. In addition to Miami, their favorite places to scuba dive are Hawaii, Australia and the Dominican Republic.

Another hobby of Mr. Al Nowais is baseball. Having grown up in New York City, his favorite team is the New York Yankees. He enjoys taking his grandchildren to Yankees games when he visits them in New York.
